Jen called the meeting to order at 9:00 p.m.
I. Homecoming
A. Had people
sign up for the bed race.
B. Decided
on team name, “Bed Bugs”
C. Going
to make banner on Sunday October 8th at 1p.m. at BotSwin.
i.
Jen will go to Dollar Tree to get supplies for both banner and
bed race.
ii.
Will be using design on t-shirts for banner.
II. Service and Awareness
Week
A. Decided
we would have a favorite used/new childhood book drive
at Fall Initiation to give to the children of Better Way
i.
Going to send out notice to parents of new initiees and the new initiees.
III. Initiation
A. On Monday
the 16th and Wednesday the 18th we will have tables in
North Quad for people to pay dues.
B. Times
are still unsure, but Laura is checking on the times.
C. Will
have sign-up sheet at next weeks meeting.
D. April
1st will be Spring Initiation.
IV. Flame
A. Andrea
will be putting together an article for the Flame magazine
i.
Will be about “Who Wants to Be a Hundredaire” or about or
Maintaining the Flame award.
V. UniverCity
A. Congratulation
to James Mitchell, winner of ALD’s “Who Wants to
Be a Hundredaire” game.
VI. Newsletter
A. Tanya
is working hard on it and it should be done by next week.
VII. Jello Wrestling
A. Did not
send in request to Fund Board, but still planning to do it.
B. Plan
to apply for money in the Spring.
C. Kyli
said that Jello would possibly sponser the event.
i.
Going to write a letter to them about what we are planning and
what we would like to have happen.
D. Decided
it would be on April 21st.
i.
Megan is going to call to reserve LaFollettte Field for that day.
E. Janelle
is going to talk to some people to see how Dill Street
is doing their Jello Wrestling event.
VIII. Advisor Report
A. Matt
is going to write a letter to Nationals and see if they can
get rid of the Maintain the Flame award and allow the past winner
to apply for Order of the Torch.
B. Matt
mentioned that we should get flowers, plaque, and/or
something else for Cheryl Lynn.

Thought that was a good idea.
Next meeting will be in Baker Hall at 8:45p.m.
Followed by Stu West on October 12th.
